Why is a French Drain Soakaway tank used?

A soak away tank, also known as an infiltration tank, is an underground tank used to manage rainwater and wastewater runoff from buildings and septic tanks. The primary function of a soak away tank is to allow rainwater or wastewater to percolate slowly through the surrounding soil, where natural biological and chemical processes help to break down and remove pollutants before the water reaches the groundwater table.
